PS5's Stellar Blade Could Move To Switch 2, But What About Xbox?

Exactly one week ago today, Shift Up's saucy action game Stellar Blade made the jump from PS5 to PC, and you could say that the port has been pretty successful so far. The game already has almost 20k reviews over on Steam, and now the development team is reportedly considering other platforms as well.

According to PlayForum (via Nintendo Life), the Korean developer has a Switch 2 version of Stellar Blade in its sights. While the team has told PlayForum directly that "nothing is confirmed" in regards to a Switch 2 port, the outlet is reporting that the studio has a Nintendo devkit to begin initial work on moving the game over.

Is Stellar Blade Coming To Xbox?

Both the PS5 and PC versions of Stellar Blade are published by Sony, meaning an Xbox port is extremely unlikely at this stage. While the PlayStation owner has taken games over to Nintendo before — notably LEGO Horizon Adventures in 2024 — the PS5 maker is still reluctant to extend that same arm to Xbox. This makes an Xbox Series X|S version of Stellar Blade pretty doubtful, unless PlayStation changes its tune.

Of course, there's always a chance that a similar situation to Death Stranding Director's Cut could happen with Stellar Blade (where another publisher brings the game to Xbox), but we wouldn't count on that at this stage. Not only is the Switch 2 port just a rumour for now, but even if it does happen, that alone will take months and months of work from Shift Up. Let's see where the future lies, but for now, Stellar Blade doesn't appear to be coming to Xbox consoles.
